Tsinghua University's School of Clinical Medicine hosted the opening ceremony for 2023 postgraduate freshmen and the 4th "The Clinical Teacher's Day" Celebration on September 3rd. Tsinghua University Vice President Wang Hongwei congratulated students on entering the school, expressing hope that they would embody "compassionate care" principles, explore and innovate, and contribute wisdom and strength to the medical profession. Professor Wong Tienyin, the director of Tsinghua Medicine explained Tsinghua's new medical development strategy, which focuses on innovation, interdisciplinary integration, and international perspectives. The School of Clinical Medicine has attracted outstanding physicians and clinical medical experts from around the world and established several top-notch disciplines including hepatobiliary and pancreatic, cardiovascular, neurogastrointestinal, organ transplantation, and neonatal critical care. The School of Clinical Medicine celebrated its "The Clinical Teacher's Day" with 34 teachers receiving awards. The ceremony also honored new students, who pledged their commitment to the development of the country's medical, health, and pharmaceutical sectors. Last but not least, an on-boarding event as part of the new student orientation was held, attracting over 200 participants including students, the hospital staff, and the university faculty.
