    Dr. Jianwen Luo received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees (Hons.) in Biomedical Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2000 and 2005, respectively. He was a Postdoctoral Research Scientist from 2005 to 2009 and an Associate Research Scientist from 2009 to 2011 with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Columbia University, New York City, NY, USA. He joined the Department of Biomedical Engineering, School of Medicine, Tsinghua University, as a Tenure Track Associate Professorin2011 and became a Tenured Associate Professor in 2017.He became a Full Professor of Tsinghua University in 2023.

    Dr. Jianwen Luo received the Excellent Young Scientists Fund from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) in 2013.He became a Chang Jiang Scholars Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education of China in 2023. He was supported by the National Key R&D Program of China in 2016 and 2020. He has authored or coauthored over 300 articles, including over 190 peer-reviewed articles in international SCI journals and 100 conference proceedings papers, as well as 200 conference abstracts. His research interests include ultrasound imaging, fluorescence imaging, and photoacoustic imaging.

    Dr. Jianwen Luo serves as a member of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) Technical Committee on Biomedical Imaging and Image Processing (BIIP) and the Technical Program Committee of IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium (IUS). He serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control, an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, and an Editorial Board Member of Ultrasonics.
